Location : 30 mins East of Cagliari , Via Gennargentu 38, 09045 Quartu Sant’Elena , a delightful place near the sea and wonderful countryside and places of cultural interest. (We can arrange pick up and drop off at Cagliari airport).

The flat is located on the first floor of the house, a villa set in a large garden in a very quiet residential area in the countryside just one kilometre from the sea and a 10-minute walk from a restaurant, pizzeria, bar, supermarket, newsagent, pharmacy

The garden of about 2000 square metres is an ideal oasis of peace for those who want to totally relax.

The space

Completely renovated and furnished with natural and reclaimed materials.

It includes a double room with bathroom, two twin rooms with shared bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, from which you can see the sea. There are also other possibilities for single/double rooms too. The house is air-conditioned and has free indoor parking.

It is also possible to book the following treatments: shiatsu, ayurvedic massage, relaxing massage, reflexology treatment and reiki.

Guests can relax in the garden where tables and chairs and hammocks are available.

There is also a large activity room in the house where seminars and meetings aimed at personal growth and soul searching are organised, such as family constellations, gong baths, tai chi and yoga

Alessandro's Sardinian Qi Gong Retreat fit the bill perfectly in terms of the 'me time' I was after. A few days of relaxed but focused and re-invigorating qi gong, accompanied by regular dips in the glorious Sardinian sea water, fantastic company (both Alessandro himself, who was a splendid host, and the other retreat participants), not to mention the delicious home-cooked Sardinian culinary delights on offer, gave me just the autumnal boost I needed to face the English winter back home. You don't need to have practised qi gong before to enjoy and benefit from Hua Gong - it's a style that's very intuitive and accessible to all - so I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to everyone. A morning session and an afternoon session, encompassing both movement and meditation, was just the right amount for me, with plenty of time for rest and relaxation, swimming and so on, in between. Alessandro ensured we left at the end of the retreat with several simple key practises to do at home, to keep that Qi flow going. Wonderful!

To be welcomed in to Alessandro’s home and be taught beautiful Hua Gong by him was relaxing, mind absorbing and an experience much better than a “holiday”. The laughter created made me feel as if my heart had been released and energised. In addition, the Sardinian food was excellent: tasty, interesting and enhanced by warm conversation (and laughter!). Alessandro’s cousin and his wife were very hospitable. The Hua Gong in the sea was not only fun but quite hard work on the legs: it’s intention. The sea was jut the right temperature too - refreshing and neither cold nor tepid. I was reminded a lot more about energy and how to improve it.

The retreats are designed for both beginners and more experienced practitioners. We will learn the self healing form to help clear aches and pains, optimise your immune system, help sleep, digestion. An important aspect is integrating the practice into daily life.

I was looking for quiet reflection and Alessandro had mentioned his Qigong weekend in Sardinia. The part of Sardinia where the retreat was held is very quiet and unspoiled making it a perfect place for a retreat . The location of the event itself is something quite unique and something to behold.

The two day retreat was full of surprises – meeting Sardinian local people also on the course was a delight and we spent two lovely lunch-breaks with them, one on the beach and one where we all shared our food on a large table at the venue.

Alessandro handled the course in two languages, and it flowed very well. He also managed the mix of personalities, and we were all able to participate in the qi gong exercises with ease.

For anyone looking for a peaceful weekend, meeting lovely people, and with no pressure to be an expert in Qigong, this is the place for you.

My bio/experience

I have been practising Qigong for over 40 years with my teacher, Zhixing Wang, teaching for over 15 years both groups, corporate and 1 to 1.

I have had a lifelong interest in health and personal growth including studies of Buddhism, Taoism, family constellations work and being part of several inspiring mastermind groups.
